Finding resources can become a problem. And I’m not talking about finding the right image for a toolbar button. I’m talking about finding developers.
The IT industry is a fast moving market and today’s modern technology is old fashioned tomorrow. This is especially true for development environments. And if you are a developer you’ll want to work with the state-of-the-art tools. Travelling to overseas on a steam boat may be fun but everybody takes the plane. Everybody wants to be involved in web and mobile nowadays. Even if Team Developer pretends to be .NET, who cares? .NET is not hip anymore, it's a standard. We have already moved on to migrating Gupta applications to HTML5 Rich Internet Applications, based on .NET of course.
As a consequence the number of Team Developer programmers available for hire is basically zero. Every Team Developer programmer that quits (or retires) leaves a gap you can’t fill. While we are talking to customers the argument comes up every time: we can’t find developers. So stop complaining, drop your old stuff and move on. We are here to help.
